In May 2012, HB2571, State Personnel System, was passed by the Arizona Legislature and signed by the Governor. The bill was effective September 29, 2012 and implemented significant personnel reform for Arizona State government. Some of the key factors of personnel reform involve consolidating 97 agencies, boards and commissions into one personnel system and transitioning the state work force to a predominantly at-will status.  For additional information on Personnel Reform
