The Consulting Section of the Human Resources Division provides technical guidance and professional human resources consultation to the ADOA Personnel System agencies covering all aspects of human resources.  Our goal is to provide our customers with customized solutions to their problems.  We work closely with agencies to define their needs, offer specific suggestions to resolve issues, enhance the organization and assist in the accomplishment of strategic goals and objectives.  These services cover various human resources related issues, such as:  employee relations, performance management, compensation, workforce/succession planning, retention, policies and procedures and employee handbooks.

In addition, this section is responsible for the design, development and oversight of pilot programs and special projects, such as pandemic planning, human resources office reviews, communication strategies and compensation strategies.  It also provides technical expertise regarding pending and/or changes to existing legislation, inquiries from the public, legislature and other state agencies.
